On September 11, the Fourth Constellation Energy Golf Classic began with a 1 p.m. Pro-Am Shotgun Start in Hunt Valley, MD at the Hayfields Country Club. Without the leadership of Mayo A. Shattuck, the CEO, president, and chairman of Constellation Energy, this tournament would not have been possible.

An accomplished golfer, Mr. Shattuck has attained a Top 10 Golfing CEO ranking by Golf Digest magazine. He is also is involved in an additional golf-related community building program, The First Tee - PGA Tour. By teaching youth the game of golf, The First Tee - PGA Tour hopes to provide a positive impact in the lives of the participants. To achieve this goal, the program provides the youth with educational programs and learning facilities in order to promote character and life improving values development. With this clearly demonstrated passion for golf, Mayo A. Shattuck would and has worked endlessly to make certain that the Constellation Energy Classic (9/11 - 9/17/2006) would not simply remain an idea. The tournament collected at least $1.5 million to benefit charity in its first three years alone. Without Mr. Shattuck's commitment and drive, this would not have become a reality.

Mayo A. Shattuck's dedication in conjunction with the corporate culture of Constellation Energy, contributes to the success of Constellation Energy Golf Classic (9/11 - 9/17/2006). For this, Mayo Shattuck is credited with coordinated Constellation Energy's impressive comeback, so that it is on the verge of becoming a Fortune 100 company.

The money raised by the Constellation Energy Golf Classic (9/11 - 9/17) is only part of the total giving of Constellation Energy. Through the programs of Volunteerism, Corporate Giving, and Employee Giving, Constellation Energy gave $10 million in the last year alone. This demonstration of commitment to community and philanthropy is typical of Constellation Energy's capabilities after only four years into Mr. Shattuck's leadership.

Mayo A. Shattuck is someone who is more than the president, CEO, and chairman of Constellation Energy. He is more than a great golfer. He is more than the person behind the Constellation Energy Classic (9/11 - 9/17). Mayo A. Shattuck is a leader, a leader who inspires. From his days at Williams College where he served as president of the student body to the present, where he serves as president of Constellation Energy, Mr. Shattuck also finds the time to serve in many other leadership roles. He currently serves on the board of directors for corporations, non-profit organizations, academic institutions, and industry organizations.
